Crazy dancing

The prompt for the movie theme for day 106 on 365 cards was for the film 'not bummer summer'. I went online and watched a video trailer for this film - it seemed to be very fast moving and full of OTT adventures and crazy happenings, which led me to think of crazy dancing - hence this card, using some Kanban music and dance papers etc. It says Happy Birthday on the 'record'. There's a lot of red foiling that doesn't really show up here.

This is also for:

Sparkling green Christmas

For day 107 on 365 cards the movie picture was:

My card has got nothing actually to do with the movie - I took the rich green colour as the inspiration for this Christmas card.

The card blank is stardream and the papers and glittered baubles are Anna Griffin. The paper on the left is flocked - a lovely feel to it.

Another male card

I've made quite a few masculine cards in the last few days - I suppose with Father's Day tomorrow it was inevitable that there would be a lot of challenges with an emphasis on the guys. This has been very useful to help build up stocks.

This card came about by accident. I had got out two photos - the red car that I used on the previous card and the yellow one that I've used here - I wasn't going to use the yellow one, but I accidentally put adhesive on the back, thinking it was the red car for the previous card, so I've ended up using it - with the sketch for Cutie Sunday 142:

Once again, papers are from my offcuts - never seem to use these up.

This is also for:

Male birthday card

For this card I've used the sketch for Clean & simple 145:

The photo on 365 cards day 108 prompted me to make the card, but it hasn't really got anything to do with the movie - but it does have a red car!

I used up some paper offcuts and a photo that was part of a Kanban men's kit - just added the Craftime sentiment and the card was done.

Transformers

In between doing other things (yes, I ought to be getting ahead with the CJ and my swaps) I'm trying to catch up a bit with 365 cards challenges. All this week has been a movie theme and day 109 had this prompt:

Well, I know little about this film (it's more accurate, actually, to say I know nothing about it), but I'm hoping that my card with a robot will be (nearly) appropriate - I've used some 3D stickers from Poundland that I've had for ages and the background paper is Little Boy designed by Cherelle (I've also had that for a long time and never used any of it).

This is also for:

Shelly's terrifically thrilling Thursday: snakes, snails & puppy dog tails - a card for a boy
Dutch dare 117: for the boys
Papertake: dads & lads

Keeping warm

Challenge 24 on Bah! humbug is 'scarves and mittens'. I've used a Charmed Dottie Christmas download digi - I think Dottie is a bit of a rebel because she isn't actually wearing her mittens.

The card isn't actually crooked, just the photo! Papers are a mixture of English Paper Company and Patchwork pals from my offcuts box.

Once again I've used one of my favourite shaped card.

Silver glittered Christmas with love

This card is for ABC Christmas: L for love - plus green/silver/red. The background paper is once again from PM Classic Christmas and the decoupaged glittered trees and reindeer are Anna Griffin. This is for Fun at fairy knoll: sparkle power and Crafts and me 39: bling it on.

The sentiment was done on my dymo letratag.

I chose the shaped card for Your next stamp 44: seeing shapes.

It's also another one for Claire's challenge for the Christmas gang and for:

Crafty Ann 43: Christmas in June
Irish teddy's: Christmas is coming, Christmas is ...

Pooh and friends

For the past week on 365 cards the challenges have been based on movies - today, for day 110 Mega Movie Saturday, this is the inspiration:
As usual, I'm behind with the 365 challenges and am starting with the latest one and working backwards!

I've had some Disney Pooh epoxy stickers in my stash for a long time, having used one of them ages ago and not the rest. I thought this was just right for this card.

I've used the sketch given for Corrosive 120, turning it on its side:

The sentiment was computer generated and printed - all papers are from my offcuts box - the ovals were torn.

The bright colours are inspired by Moxie Tuesday Trigger rainbow bright:

Also this inspiration picture for ECP 40:

Prize from Paper Pretties

Postie has brought me this lovely stamp set:

I won it for challenge 153 on Paper Pretties with this card:

A big THANK YOU to Paper Pretties - I look forward to using this.

Simply for the Christmas gang

You may have noticed links in my sidebar to the Christmas gang - a group of crafters who like to get ahead with making Christmas cards throughout the year - one of the gang chooses a topic for the fortnight. If you are interested in joining in, just get in touch with one of us.

For this challenge Claire asked us to use red, white and green and include a reindeer.

I have to confess that atm I'm chasing my tail a bit and trying to get as much crafting done as possible - quite a few commissions and swaps etc to do, so I went for the easy option. PM Classic Christmas papers were still out on my work surface, having used some on Friday for a card, so I decided to make a couple of CAS cards for this challenge. The card blanks are stardream, which has a lovely sparkly sheen to it and there is red foiling on the papers I used.

A commissioned birthday card

I had a request for a birthday card by a lady who has commissioned me now for two or three years to make a card for her husband - the thing is that she tends to ask for the same sort of thing every time and I'm running out of ideas of something different. She wants it to include a Bible and some flowers.

I found the image on the internet, mounted it on the sentiment paper and on to a piece of striped Craftwork cards vintage rose paper, generating the sentiments on computer.

I know that it's unusual to use pink for a man's card, but I liked the pink flowers in the picture, so thought I would continue the theme - and the gentleman who will receive the card loves flowers.

BF inchies for June: films

The topic for the June inchies swap on BF forum is 'films'. One of my favourites - indeed, the book as well as the film is one of my all-time favourites) is Rebecca.

I'm afraid there wasn't much crafting in making these. I found a picture from the internet, which I scaled down and added 'Rebecca' in Digital Image Pro, mounted on red card and added a heart gem to each inchie. (I've just noticed that one of the hearts is on the wrong way round - I've put it right now!)

That's one thing I can now tick off the list - just need to do my pages in a CJ, a twinchies swap and an ATC swap, not to mention a few cards.

CHNC challenge 25: Christmas wings

Another week has rolled by and it's time for CHNC challenge 25: Christmas wings - for this challenge I'm asking you to include an angel or a fairy - more details here.

I've used CPS sketch 222 for my card:

I chose to use a 7 x 5 matt foiled gold card, layering with a print out of sheet music, an offcut of some Kanban foiled card and a piece of ribbon that's been in my stash for ages. The stamped image is Anita's angel coloured with copics. I love the simplicity of this angel.
