Have a wheelie good birthday

For this card I've following the sketch for Atlantic hearts sketch 16:

I used three Color Box small inkpads - silver (although it doesn't look like silver here), pearlised white (which doesn't really show up here on the white card, but does IRL) and gold.

I masked off areas as I used the ink direct to paper and then stamped the Papermania bicycle. The sentiment was computer generated and printed, so the card is one layer.

Sorry it's such a poor photo (might try to get a better one in the morning):

CAS wedding card

This is a clean and simple one layer card, using a white card blank on to which I stamped with an old Anita favourite wedding image inked with versamark and heat embossed with mirror gold powder.

As usual, very difficult to get a photo of a white card and the gold embossing doesn't show up, so I'm including a little close up as well. I coloured the faces and the groom's suit with pale spectrum noirs (hardly visible here because I was concentrating on trying to show the white as best I could).

Cherry blossom

I apologise if you saw this post with just the first link and the card, but the linky for Sketchy Norway 173 was showing 1 minute to go!! So I linked before putting any description.

So this is for Sketchy Norway 173: green, white and pink, where this gorgeous picture inspiration was shared:

I used a pearlised card blank on to which I put the fancy edged oval (left over from a Kanban kit), which was stamped with Lindsay Mason's cherry blossom, which was coloured with spectrum noir. A few Papermania adhesive stones were added on the cherry blossom and the corners. I added the big green flower because it seemed to go with the green colouring, but I'm not sure it is a good addition.

Playing with inks

Not feeling too great this afternoon, but wanted to do something crafty, but found it hard to concentrate and decide what to do.

I found some stamps that were free with a magazine - I never inked any of them - and stamped with versafine black onyx and heat embossed with detail black powder. I then torn around a perspex oval template and then stamped on to that with an oval background stamp inked with peacock feathers distress ink. I then splattered with water and brushed the torn edges with the distress ink.

But I wasn't too happy with this, so I decided to have another try, this time I stamped the oval peacock feathers before I tore round the perspex template. I thought I would achieve a better result that way, but in the end I prefer the original one which is on the left as you look at the picture.

I was prompted to make this for CD Sunday: quick and cute, using elements from My Craft Studio Tinkering with steampunk - it certainly was quick (once I remembered how to change colours) and hope it is cute enough! This was totally created digitally.

Oh dear! When I started this there was a linky for CD Sunday, but it's disappeared now, so it seems I was too late to actually enter the challenge - nevermind, I enjoyed creating this.

Still no sentiment

This is another card for my CHNC challenge 138: no sentiment, using the sketch for Sunday stamps 56:

I used a ready edged tag shaped card, on to which I put some clear organza ribbon. I didn't want to completely stick this down as I didn't want adhesive to show through, so I stuck in places that I knew would be covered, wrapping around the inside and back too.

The circular embossed pictures have been in my Christmas stash for some time, but I've got no idea where they came from.I thought it was about time they were used and thought they went with the colour of the edging of the corner.

I've used a glittered vintage picture to cover over the ribbon joins:

And another one on the back:

CHNC challenge 138: no sentiment

Today's CHNC challenge 138 is 'no sentiment' - create any Christmas card this week without a sentiment on the front.

If anyone's been following my blog this week you'll know that I've been using up some glittered pyramage pictures that I got some years ago in a Kanban kit. Here is another one, mounted on to a piece of Anna Griffin flocked paper. The background papers are offcuts from some that came with a magazine, decorated with some gold foil strips and a couple of gold gems.

I following the sketch given for House of cards month two clean and simple sketch:
